Since Feb. 2 I have had this overwhelming feeling to make sure my 72 hour kits were finished and all in one place. A place with easy access in case of an emergency. Also to have more food storage and all our propane tanks filled for our trailer. Brent and I both felt it was necessary to get this done and pronto.
So, when we heard about the earthquake in Nevada we kinda breathed a sigh of oh, that's why we had such an urgent feeling. I know we were prompted. Why else would we spend 550.00 on food storage all at once. It was fun to go shopping for all that great stuff. Now it had to be put away. That's the worst part of shopping. But I have Brent.
Brent has a great way of organizing our pantry downstairs and loves to take one Saturday a year to reorganize it and make it flow better. Now it is all in order and we now know we have two cases of tooth paste instead of just one.
We are thankful for inspired leaders who have told us for many years to "BE PREPARED!" Not only physically but Spiritually as well. That one will be an on going process. But one we are working on daily. We are getting there, are you?

I've been working since the beginning of the year to build up my food storage! On New Year's Day I cleaned everything out and started fresh and spent tons of money too. It feels so good. The boys call it the Grocery Store in the Basement.
Last week, Troy was broken down for 3 1/2 days (extending his away time to a little over 5 days - yuck)in Wales, NV! His company put him up in the cheapest little hotel - he missed the earthquake by 3 days! I'm glad he's safe.
Good job on the food storage!
Oh, Wendy thank goodness Troy's SAFE!! Aren't you glad for blessings?! Glad your safe Troy. And yeah on your food storage!
YEa a new post! Good job on all the food. I'm worried about honey bees. I've been grinding wheat to make bread. I'll do a blog about it later.
